Well Folks...

the infamous HID headlights are for sale

These are Gen 3 taurus headlights custom fitted with Honda S2000 Projectors... the REAL DEAL hid ....

Bob and Damon can vouch for these headlights

Asking 550 shipped....

here is what is included and what it cost me .. for price reference on how good of a deal this is

Headlights - 130
S2000 - projectors - 270
Phillips D2s bulbs - 65
Lexus IS300 Ballasts - 150
Labor- 300
Wiring Harness (plug and play into stock wiring) - 50
Shipping and Misc expenses - 75

These headlights DO NOT have a high beam .. its low beam only... but TRUST ME .. with the light output these have .. you wont need HIGH BEAMS ...

these are ready to roll... its all plug and play.. no splicing or fabircating needs to be done .. all you have to do is remove old headlights .. put in new ones... plug in harness ...

check out www.hidretro.com/page19.html ... for pics of the lights

the headlights have some use .. could use a polishing..but there are no cracks or anything ... not yellowed....

you wont get a better lighting setup then this.. the s2000 projector is by far the best hid projector out there... i have no problems lighting up a 7 lane span of highway ... no problem ...

here is a pic of them against a wall .. to give you an idea of what you are in store for

email me or PM me or hit me up on aim for more information or questions

the only reason for selling is .. i am selling the SHO ... and i would like to see these go to a good home .. rather then breaking the lights open and selling the components seperately...

I can definately vouch for the quality of these lights. HIDs are amazing, they blow away halogen bulbs. Its like night and day. Ive driven with them and they make a huge difference.

I wish I could afford it, but they look amazing...Silverstars will have to do for me...

If their still for sale come June 1st (please god let them be), I'm pretty positive I'll take them. I'm always looking for something to make my car more unique.

Dylan, if you get these your car will be even sweeter.

Now all you gotta do is the drum to disc conversion with the same color paint you used on the front calipers!

Yeah, that's close to the top of my list of things I'm gonna do this summer.

But as soon I saw this ad, this is first on my list as soon as I get my indian money at the first of June. Unless a serious maintenace issue comes up, like tranny or torque converter breaking.

Those lights look SWEET. Some people have asked me if I'm gonna do a HID conversion but, I tell them no one makes a kit for our car. So hopefully I can get these. I actully don't think anyone will get them. I know $550 is alot for lights for a Taurus but, I don't care.
D man

i was reading your statement that 550 is alot for lights

you know i paid 1000 .. and i dont think it was too much

this isnt kit stuff here ... this is REAL OEM hids ...

simply put .. there isnt one car from the factory with hids that will outshine these ... the s2000 has been proven in the hid community to have the best output of any projectors out right now

the only thing that is comparable but still not as sharp is the 2004 Acura TL .. the 2004 TSX is similar but not as good

hands down these are the best there is

if you were local to mass i would say come check em out ..

I'm in NY and have been to Mass and RI several times in the last couple months.

It says you're "asking" $550 shipped. I don't know what the shipping will be but, I'll give you $550 and I'll come down to you and you can install them since you're the only one who has done this. I've had a few times where I bought something and it said NO modification required and all that. Yet their was always something that went wrong. And since your so close I'll come down to you and have you install them. When I get them (if their still available) I would also like to get some spare bulbs and whatever else could burn out or break.
Hey DMan,

from what Tom's been telling me, they are just plug-n-play.

Hey DMan,

Like I said, I've heard this all before.

One example. 13" brake kit form MIDWESTSHO. It also said NO MODIFICATION REQUIRED. Yet when I tried installing the brake line to the caliper, it wouldn't fit. Their is a hole in the square piece that screws into the caliper. Well the hole on mine was offset to one side. Meaning it wouldn't securly screw on tightly. SO I called him and he gave me a few suggestions. I had to take the brake line and saw off the holding bracket and use some zipties and completely put the brake li9ne in a different spot so i could flip the brake line over so the offset hole would be onthe other side. It was no big problem but, it was something I wasn't expecting. I suggested he tell people of this problem before they buy it, or atleast sell the braided brake lines with it. Since the hole in their style isn't offset.

Not bad mouthing the product or company at all. Still a very nice looking and performing product. Also When I bought mine the option for Zinc plating on the rotors wasn't an option but, now it is. And my rotors are all rusty now and, I would have easliy chossen that option if it was avaliable. And I don't see why it wasn't available at the time.

Dylan,

They are completely plug and play. All you need to do is attach the harnesses to the battery and aim the headlights.

Just trying to help everyone clear things up. :)

I think these would be a great to have on any Taurus. I hope someone here gets this one of a kind item. Too often I hear of people doing something really cool to their cars, just to trade it in with all the goodies still attached.

D Man, I hope you can pick these up. If I were the seller, I would take you up on the offer for the install.
i will gladly install these for you .. and even help you tweak the aiming .. since they are aimed right now .. but will need to be adjusted once installed in the new car...

uhmmm i am close to RI so that should make your trip shorter .. and i have a great place that i use for aiming around my house ...

i def would love to see these go on a taurus .. i have had offers already for 300 just for the s2000 projectors inside... but i dont wanna break open the headlights and waste such a nice custom job just to sell the stuff inside

as i stated

this REALLY IS plug and play.. i am not one that likes to hassle with installing crap... when i had the harness made .. i specificailly had all the wires done a certain way so that it would be 1 2 3 install

but as i said .. i will gladly install .. and aim them for you

also i can send you to a nice hookup i have for new bulbs ... (though you shouldnt need any for years) ...

feel free to aim me if you wanna talk abut the lights any
