Gen 2 Se?

Okay, the wierdest stock Taurus I've ever seen still goes to the MT-5, but how the heck was there a Gen 2 SE? There is one parked out in front of my school. It has a stock spoiler, SE badging, half upholstery/leather seats and a damn decent trim level. I thought that Taurii used G->LX until the Gen4s.

The Taurus was available in Taurus L, Taurus GL, Taurus LX, and Taurus SHO until 1993. In 1993, the "Taurus L" was dropped. IN 1995 they added the "Taurus SE." It was dropped in 1996, when the redesigned Taurus came out. The trim levels then went to: Taurus G, Taurus GL, Taurus LX, and Taurus SHO. In late 1997, Taurus G was dropped. In 1998, the trim levels were switched to: Taurus LX, Taurus SE, Taurus SE Limited, and Taurus SHO. In 1999 it was switched to Taurus LX, Taurus SE, Taurus SE Sport, and Taurus SHO. For 2000, the new Taurus was introduced, and the trim levels were switched to LX and SE. In late 2000, it was switched to Taurus LX, SE, SES, and SEL.

Up until not long ago, I thought the Essex was standard on the 1995 SE but I saw one on line (ebay?) that had EVERYTHING including the Vulcan and I wanted to give my left leg for it.

I want the "Jewl" SE/LX head lamps for my 1993 GL. I found some for the pass side in a junk yard but the idiot wanted over $70 for just the one light I think, sorry but its not worth that for only ONE.

The SE was just a gl with a sho interior, lx wheels, lx headlamps, and optional: spoiler & 3.8l engine. I dont know if it was to clear out the taurus L's because my old 95se did not have cruise control or a trunk/gas tank release.
My 90 taurus L has cruise control and speed control. Which I still dont understand. Did the L's come standard with this?
L's came standard with nothing, but the buyer could add options if they choose to.
i love my super special 95SE
