Anyone know how to bypass the regulator and full field the alternator on a DOHC 3.0L V6?

The regulator is integrated in the alternator (black plastic on the new one, metalic protector on OEM). It has a connection that say "ground here to test". I guess that's what you want?
I just replaced my alternator half year ago... it had the power diodes busted and melted.
