I have 03 taurus which was hit on the driver side rear quarter panel. We pulled the panel out, and straighend the tire were we could get it to someone to aline the wheel. It cranked fine at first. Now it stopped. When it died it acted as if ran out of fuel, with the engine slowly fading to a stop. Already checked the furl pump switch and have reset it, but died after we reset it. I've checked it and it's still fine. It had been setting up for a while and the fuel pump was supposed to have been replaced. I was told by the shop owner it the wiring to the pump gnawed in to so it wouldn't come on but I've not found anything when looking. It's acting the same way now. I started this morning dropping the fuel tank as to check the wiring on top of it and replace the pump if necessary but stopped short didn't have tool for disconnection of fuel line. Your advice and knowledge if offered would be appreciated. Thanks.
