2001 DOHC Taurus that was sitting unstarted for around a month.
- Turns over fine but will not start.
- I have spark.
- I replaced PCM and pump relay with a/c relay - althouh I havent actually tested them.
- Cannot hear the whine of the pump starting when turning key.
- Tried banging on tank around where pump is to jar it a little.
- Inertia switch in trunk is not ...un-pressed.

Sounds like the pump to me. Any other ideas?

If it is the pump, is there a wiki, instructions with pics, etc available. NOt sure if I should try it or not.

Thank you!

Check to see if the pump has voltage during the prime cycle / cranking. Use a test light for this, not a DMM. Easiest place to check is at the inertia switch.

When testing for voltage at the inertia switch make sure you test the fuel pump side and not the input power side. I had one of these go bad once.
