What is the mounting depth for front speakers, im trying to buy component speakers and need to know thanks

Matt, mind help if we knew what car you are putting them in, but most fronts are about 4-5 inches of room with out fabrications. Usually a 5 1/4 (I think)...ANYONE help me out on this if you know.
