Back in june I realised that i had a bad freeze plug (behind the front exhaust header) and i replaced it. now I put a little over half a gallon of premixed coolant back into my car and realised that i had another bad freeze plug. my question is how many more freeze plugs will i go through before i can stop worrying?

I ended up replacing 4 on my 96 before it stoped for good. I replaced using rubber instead (very easy to get in compared to others). A year latter and still have no issues.

There's one in either head, one on each bank of the block, and one on either end. Just hope you don't have to do the one on the trans end, the tranny has to come out to do it.

I'm assuming this is on the vulcan? I read somewhere that this is common problem, ironically I think your the only person that i've heard with it here...was your coolant always changed and tap water avoided? (I'm not doubing you, just curious)
