I tried searching in the forums and didn't see anything pertaining to this, so I thought I'd ask you guys; what was the first year of flex fuel capable Taurii and Sable's, and how can you tell if the vehicle is flex fuel capable or not?

I read somewhere that 1996 is the first year, but I don't know if this is true or not.

This is the source in question that I discovered.

None of the Duratec Taurii were ever Flex-Fuel capable. The Duratec 3.0 V6 just got that capability this past year on the Fusion. FFV Taurii all had Vulcans.

Thanks for the info. It was more or less wishful thinking on my part that a 96 Duratec would have that capability. I actually found something of interest when I was researching online for some more info. Not sure if it's of any interest to anyone, but it's worth a look.
