hey guys somehow last time i did my centennial mod my housings got a bit warped, the lenses are foggy but i doubt a headlight restoration kit would do anything because all the foggy appeared about 30 minutes after sealing the housings (probably because rather than using new silicone i heated the old and reused it, still seales fine but thats probably what cause it).

anyways, ive got the morimotos sitting under the christmas tree and i just cant put them into ****** headlights so im gunna have to bite the bullet and get new housings, cheapest i found was $140 for the set, not really something i want to buy unless anyone has any ideas about how to fix my lenses, anyone experienced this problem when baking your lights?

I just received my new headlights I ordered from discountbodyparts.com. I only paid $36.75 each, plus shipping, when other sites have the same part #'s for over $110 each. The shipping was fast. I haven't put them on yet to see how they fit, but they look just like the oem ones. Mine developed hairline cracks, and have pitts in them, so I bought new. I'm going to put them on after I get a high speed compound and wax done, so I'll have new headlights on a new looking car.

Think new housing's are your best choice, and sound's like you already got some good advice on pricing. My brother tried a headlight restore kit on his wife's Oldsmobile mini van and only made him invent new swear word's. Ended up with some new housing's from Rock Auto, and wished he'd done that from the beginning.

Gotta be careful knott. Your best bet is new housings. And the fogging is probably on the inside of the lens.

Another thing you you can try if fogged from the inside. Pull the bulb, spray in some window cleaner and swab the inside with a bent coat hanger around a rag wad. If you still can't get all the moisture out, try hitting it with a heat lamp bulb found in some bathroom fixture's.

damn i knew i forgot something..... my sables headlights are different than the taurus' and are less common....there on discountbodyparts for $79

Better than over $100, the prices on that site for headlights are close or less than what a junk yard would charge for a used one that often looks like crap.
