Vulcan or Duratec?
My 1/8th on my 16.9 run was an 11 flat, so I'd bet a 15 is easily within reach since your engine has a lot more up high than mine - not to mention the extra like 80 HP and probably 40 or so ft/lbs.Originally posted by mcgilles@May 1 2004, 12:28 AM
my best has been a 10 flat...grr, I really need to get to a full quarter sometime. Doug Lewis says that a 15.0 could be within my grasp with a 10.0 in the 1/8, it would be awesome to see if he's right.
All of my sub 15.4 second runs have had sub 10 second 1/8th mile runs. You'd have to have quite the strong top end to get a 15.0. A 9.7 or 9.8 1/8th will get you a 15.0 or better.Originally posted by mcgilles@Apr 30 2004, 11:28 PM

Damn, those are some nice 60' times.Originally posted by jtkz13@May 1 2004, 07:31 PM
My bone stock Duratec ran consistent 16.1-16.2's @ 86-88 mph every time down. This was with heavy 17's and Roush springs. My 60's were typically in the 2.25-2.30 range. Brake-tq to 1800-2k rpm and full throttle. It was an excellent bracket racing car, I won a trophy with it actually.

I'm thinking I could have pulled better 60's with the stock tires at a lowered presure,to be honest. The tires were nice & grippy, but the extra weight of the wheels probably negated the extra grip.Originally posted by jtkz13+May 1 2004, 10:57 PM--><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE (jtkz13 @ May 1 2004, 10:57 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'>Originally posted by [email protected] 1 2004, 09:42 PM
