so now i finally have one sub in my trunk (one of my 12"s), and it is in a TINY box running at 4 ohms with somewhere in the neighborhood of 600-800 watts on it. it is rediculously underpowered and no where near loud enough for my taste

the only problem is that my amp draws too much juice and when i sit at idle my voltage drops too low and sends my amp into protect, which agrevates me to no end. but nothing major i can do about it, since it is a temporary install.

but i am at home now, and bored, and thought i would share with the TCCA that i have boom(kinda)

try a stiffening capacitator.. prolly .5 or 1 Farad...

Are you planning on a HO alternator? I know you have just started your install, so I'm wondering what the final product will entail.

lol, exatly...

i hate caps crispy, will never own one, and will continue to discourage people from buying them EVER. if you search around you can see several posts where i stated the facts about them and why i dont like them.

i dont have any pics yet silvapain, but it is nothing special. 12" sub, box, wire, amp... it is just slapped together for temporary use and it is very unfinished and vey not good looking(just gonna be used for a fwe weeks, no use wasting time making it pretty

as for the HO alt, yes i will be getting one. i will be getting a custom made 240 amp alt, this alt should put out max output at a VERY low RPM. im also going to be running 5 batteries(1 under the hood, and 4 in the trunk), and these batts are all going to be super high output batteries, very possibly all custom made.

the entire system will be 4 12"s, custom components(which i can post pics of when i get back to school), and for power i will be capable of anywhere between 6000-8000 watts

. and no, those numbers arent inflated, i can even calculate power figures after its all said and done. should be wrappping up in mid-late summer, and then i will be competing in comps in the south east

never used one, never will. i was educated on them by people who know everything about them, and i know better than to waste money on them
