I picked up my new Silver Frost Metallic SES Sedan with a host of options!!!

3.0 Duratec
Leather Seating pkg
Center console shifter
Moon roof
Heated side mirrors
Auto dimming rear view mirror

The only thing I didn't get that I wanted was the spoiler, but I get that anytime and install it myself. I think it will be the first mod to the car because when I have it painted I'm going to have the black factory side skirts painted if it's possible.

I'd like to brag about the dealership where I bought it. Koons Ford Annapolis cut me a great deal. I saved about $2,700 off the MSRP plus I got $4,000 in rebates. The best thing about the deal was that the people that worked there were nice, unlike that "other" dealership in Waldorf, which is only 5 minutes from home. Never trust a salesman that says "I'll cut you a good deal. Just $500 over invoice, not fuss, no muss!" -----------B.S.!!!!!!!!!! Just talking to Koons on the phone I got a deal of $735 UNDER invoice.

Okay, now down to business. I want to hear different opinions on the order of mods. Like I said above, I want the spoiler first. After that, I just want to keep making a great car better.

I'll post pics of my 3 Fords this weekend if I can get my truck cleaned up. Since I got a new car, I detailed my wife's wagon yesterday and it looks GOOD!

Can you tell I excited by my senseless rambling?

Next Mod: Wheels or Audio. Or even better, both at the same time!!!

Nice Wish! Wheels would be my first choice, but because that's probably the most expensive mod, it will have to wait a little while.

As for the sound system, I am going to look into the Mach audio from the factory. I should be able to find something at the junkyard so I can get all the factory harnesses.

Congratulations! What an awesome deal. Can't wait to see some pics of it.

Personally, I'd make my first mod a tranny cooler.

You may have to wait until somebody perfects it, (hint hint, Kyle
) but there is a technique to removing the amber turnsignal lenses.

3M makes a paint-protecting clear vinyl that is applied to the nose of your car to protect it from chips and scratches, you can get it applied at a good tint or vinyl shop.

When you say "4.9" in your truck, do you mean the 300 I-6 motor? If so, I LOVE that motor! Toughest engine Ford ever built.

Yep! It's tough alright. I just wish I got the 302 simply because of the performance upgrades available. It's been tough to do anything powertrain related. All I've done is an MSD ignition and coil, Taylor wires, platinum plugs, K&N Filter with a custom CAI made from dryer vent hose, Toxic shocks, 2" lowering shackles in the rear, black Nascar wheels with yellow lettered Goodyears, 300w audio system with 10" Rockford Fosgate subs, and a 5" Monster tach.

:drools:

Those can make any car look dammmmmn good, especially cars with black paint.
Black paint + yellow lettering = dead sexay

Even white lettering looks good on certain cars, my first car was a 91 t-bird and I had BF goodrich radial T/As with white lettering, and it looked damn good.

Congrats on the new car. Do you have white faced gauges or not? Do you hate that dash yet?

Try to see the Outside temp and Compass at the same time, or better yet, apply the parking brake and try to check anything else, you won't be able to do s**t without taking the brake off, it's VERY ANNOYING!!!

Didn't get the white face gauges, but I'm going to see if I can't get them from the dealer later. I haven't really had time to play around with the computer and it didn't come with the temp and compass.

It's a sweet car, but I have to get used to it. I loved my '95 and was very comfortable in it. Everything was were I wanted it and my coffee cup fit in the cup holder. I know I just picking so I digress.
