Fair Price for an G4 Wahon

Starting to hunting for a GEN four Taurus/Sable wagon. And was just wondering what is a fair price in today’s market for a 3.0 wagon. Preferably with a sunroof, but doable without. I know the SEL trims are very hard to come by in the wagons, more common to see the SES‘s. But I figure can always do upgrades into an SEL quality. But yeah, just trying to figure out what the fair market value is for a decent running bull wagon gen4 with functional AC and reliable vehicle almost no rust, if any at all . Mileage is not as big of a concern to me.

There are a few out there. Pic of mine bought last year with 160K miles, very clean, loaded.
Had to go down south to find this, $4,500. Sold my '03 rusty with 170K to a friend for $1,000.

05 Sable LS Wagon DOHC, Sunroof, Merlot Metallic / Gray Leather Southern California [no rust] 29k miles
SOLD $15,451 Bring A Trailer 3/23. Gorgeous color combination. If I had the money, I would have bid more. This one is well worth the price.
Dec 2014 I paid $2,000 for mine, but have spent another $11k to keep it running = not a good investment.

Bring a trailer final prices are excessive in almost all auctions I have seen. I have seen a 2005 SEL Taurus with 10k miles for $10k on craigslist and a 60k mile Sable wagon for $3.5k. Both California.
Ask if it has maintenance records. Fuel pump? Alt? Ball joints? Buy one out of the rustbelt. Some models could have the weak input spines on the torque converter, or a worn valve body. Keep in mind she's an older car, and best of luck
