I need to run an audio cable from the tuner module in the trunk of a Gen IV Taurus to the factory head unit for an MP3 player. Does anyone know where the factory wiring runs through? Does it go from the trunk under the back seat and then under the door moldings? Is there usually enough space to run an extra cable along with the factory wires?

All the wire from the RCU run up above your wheel well and go beside your back seat. They then are run under the moldings on the drivers side. Just pop one off and you will see all the wires. There is plenty of room for more wires, as I have my amp wires on this side as well. Yes my power wires should be on the other side to reduce noise, but I have never experienced noise from interferance and this was the easist and shortest route for the power wire.
For the MP3 I beleave they make a connector that goes inbetween the CD changer harness and the RCU or if you don't have a CD changer it just plugs into the RCU.
Good Luck.
