Hello,

I am looking at new tires for a Gen 3 SHO with stock 16 inch chrome 6 ½ wide rims. Like many of you, I have been happy with the Continental ContiExtremeContact.

Is anyone running P245/50R16 instead of the OEM P225/55R16 on the stock rims. The wider tire (245/50) is a little heavier, nearly the same height but the recommended rim width is wider (7.0 to 8.5). If so, has the extra ¾ of an inch (20mm) caused any problems? Rubbing? Thanks. -- SJP
