Yes.. I was thinking a y-pipe right at the point where the pipe hangs a turn to go to the driver side and bring a short pipe over to the passenger side to get a true dual exhaust - one stock and another ???

I'd love to hear a flowmaster 40 or 50 on a Duratec to see what it sounds like before I do anything.. been searching for a good audio clip
I would have to believe that SOMEBODY here has a flowmaster on their 'tec. Might want to start a new thread with that in the title to help track somebody down.

I have a FM 40 deltaflow with a full 2 1/2" catback exhaust (no resonator) on my 97 duratec. I only like the sound at idle, low RPMs and WOT. Other than that, it's raspy. If you're really concerned about how it's going to sound, keep the stock resonator.
