I have a 2013 SHO and it has a serious engine knock on it. Took it into Ford and said it’s the headers and there’s metal in the oil. They say I need a whole new engine but kinda don’t want to do that. Is there anyway to make it go away or fix it. Anything helps

thanks

With a serious engine knock; your options are limited to rebuilding your engine, replacing it with a remanufactured one OR a used one from a Junk Yard. There are no quick or easy fixes for this issue. Sorry.

^^^ Agree with the above 2 posts.

I dont understand how headers can have anything to do with an engine knock. I have put aftermarket headers on a number of cars with zero issues of any kind other than a few header gasket leaks after several years of use. Is Ford blaming the engine failure headers? IMO, no way headers can contribute to internal engine damage.

FYI, header gasket leaks can sound like a sharp and fairly loud "TICK" noise.

Get a second opinion from an independent shop. Say nothing about the report from the Ford Stealership. Just report to the Indy shop a knocking noise.
