I am wondering the same thing. My EATC is somewhat annoying and I'd rather have an aftermarket head unit in the factory location than automatic climate controls. My a/c compressor is broken and I have no desire to fix it. I live in Canada and it's cold 9/12 months of the year.

search is your friend....i have posted several times about this....

It involves getting the three controls, some vacuum line, blower motor resistor pack, spare wire, and the connectors that attach to the back of the 3 controls... once you have these things you need to very electrically inclined...like able to read a schematic....not "i can replace a plug in my house"

If there was a big enough demand, i would make a kit with instructions.

Baby SHO,
Did you ever make the kit? I am electronically inclined, and am interested in the manual to digital conversion.

I have an 02 SES and if you have any help then I would certainly interested. I know it is a lot of work, but I want to know actually what is involved before I blow it off as a waste of time.

Thanks,

Seppie

Why in the world would you wanna go to electronic?! Right now, those damn things are the reason i dont have an aftermarket head unit in my sable... Anyways, if all goes well this weekend, im hoping to make a custom fiberglassed installation kit!!

Vash let me know how it goes. I don't have a head unit around right now, I'm curious just how much more height would be needed to slide a head unit in the pocket.

'cause it's great. Set it and forget it. And, yes I know, I can have both EATC and an aftermarket head unit in my car. But if I had to choose between the two, the aftermarket head unit would be a non starter. To each his or her own, I guess.

My 95 SHO is the the body shop (some low life coward backed into the side of it when it was parallel parked on a street and took off). My insurance company provided me with an '05 Camry with manual climate controls. I hate the thing. I'm always having to adjust the temp. I'm not very impressed with the Camry as a whole, actually!
