Egr Test

I know someone posted it on here before, but I can't seem to find it. How can I test my EGR valve. I know it has something to do with a voltmeter and a torch, but don't remember what the reading should be. Also, is there a test for the PCV valve?

Thanks

EGR VALVE CHECK......start car...let idle untill stable idle (~700rpm), disconnect the vacuum line from the top, bend over the car and suck on the pipe fitting where the vaccuum live was. If the idle drops, the valve works.

PCV VALVE CHECK.....remove, sake, if you hear a clunking, its good. But why bother when there like $2...just replace.
