Hi all!

I took my car for state emission this morning and flunked. The mechanic told me to replace the EGR, which sits on top of the engine. My question is how difficult is it to replace the EGR Valve on a 93 3.0 L Taurus? Any suggestions and how to is appreciated.

Before you start changing things, do a few tests. First, does the diaphragm on the EGR valve hold vaccum? If so, I wouldn't replace it.

What codes did the EEC have stored? You may have a bad PFE sensor.
