There is no drain for the torque converter. You have to flush the transmission by removing the feed line to your stock oil cooler and putting it into a bucket. Turn the car on and add the new fluid as the old stuff is being pumped out. Don't know about pushing the old stuff out of the lines with air, never thought of that.
I just installed a Hayden 679 in my car the other day, it looks like a good cooler, and it was a snap to install.
