See title. Any ideas what can cause this problem?

Some cars (but not the Taurus / Sable) unlock the doors when put into park and/or the engine is shut off. My 02 GP GT does that, as do many other GM cars.

Woah it does. I wonder if other Gen 1 LXs with keypad entry do that? Or heck if Gen 1s in general do that.

I think there's a way to program it, so it dosen't lock the doors at all, check the topic finder. I know GM's can be programed to unlock in park, or unlock when turned off. I always drive with the doors locked anyway, and I don't want them to unlock unless I push a button to do so. These days, it pays to be paranoid, people get car jacked everywhere, even in the wealthy suburbs. I don't even drive with the windows all the way down, so nobody can easily reach inside when stopped.

It's called AutoLock, not AutoLock/Unlock. Might be a patent issue between Ford and GM. Would be cool to find out how to make it do both though... (like that 91 LX)
