I'm sure this has been covered before,but I can't find info on how to ascertain what
my code is for the keypad on the door. I have no manuel with the car (1994 lx).
Also is there an aftermarket source for a second key fob? Thanks for any help!

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but if you are to disconnect the battery and reconnect the battery, doesnt this reset the code to the general/factory code.

For the code..as per a google search i came accross some info:
"Apparently, there is a sticker underneath the dash somewhere with the code. ."

OR

"the code is printed labeled on a sticker on the underside of the decklid. It is on the drivers side"

http://green.lucidgreen.com/tauruswwwb/

Its a 4 or 5 digit code, that should be highlighted/bold/upcase.

Since you dont have an owners manual, i found one on the internet for sale:
http://www.cootersautomanuals.com/autos/Ford.html

I think it was 10 bucks or so, and its in upstate south carolina.

As for keyfobs, check out ebay, ie this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...9&category=6755

Someone fill in if I have left off anything cause im doing this from memory on a 96 explorer...

EDIT: SHOZ123-->>Thanks for the correction.

Should be a sticker on the right side lip at the front of the trunk deck. The code will not reset when the battery is disconnected.

Lokw SHOZ says, the code can be found on a label on the inside of the luggage compartment door.

The code can also be found on the Electronic Door Lock Control Processor which is located under LH side of the package tray in the luggage compartment.
