Where is the switch for the door ajar/ interior light located an 97.

It's inside the door latch itself. I'm assuming you're having problems with the light staying on. Just spray some WD-40 in there, and you should be good to go.

revisiting a topic as a blast from the past....

will silicon spray do the job here also? Don't see why not.... but with all the BS i am dealing with on this machine, i figure to leave it to the experts

Anything that displaced moisture will do the job just fine. I think the silicone spray will work.

What other kind of issues do you have?

I had that problem. Sprayed it once, went away. I had to replace the door ajar switch the second time. The part was only like $10 from the dealer.
