Well, I haven't been driving the SHO much lately, since it failed inspection for what the mechanic said was bad strut. So I decided to replace the front end-links (and upgrade to Moogs while at it) and lo and behold, that fixed the suspension noise. I had done the "twist, pull, and shake" test on the endlinks before, and they seemed to be fine. Guess that test method is bunk.
Anywho, I saved myself about $400 + the cost of alignment + a trip to Massachusetts.

FWIW, I've found that you have to remove one of the ends of one of the links in order to check them.

I've tried checking a known bad ednlink will still installed and it was impossible to feel the movement in the joint until the pressure/resistance from the sway bar was removed.
