My 97 SHO is Christine, because when I first got my car she woudlnt shut off even with the key out. Also the movie was on the night I brought her home the movie Christine was on tv. Then my 97 F150 I named it big blue, just cuz its a big and its blue lol. When I had my old 96 F150 its name was black betty. When I drove it home the song black betty by spiderbait was on the radio. Thats how that one stuck.
i named my 98 se Patrica Olivia Schumacher (P.O.S.) when i first got her and was not so happy about it. since then however the taurus has grown on me quite a bit. especially since i blow away most of my friends ricer cars with their obnoxious exaust systems and rims worth a grand while their front bumper drags on the ground and their cars wont start when its below 30 degrees.
My Gen2 was called Tortoise... mostly cause it was green and a buddy of mine wanted to put a vinyl turtle shell on the roof. The Sentra was called Xsentric.... then it started falling apart. Now its just called the Sentra. Rachel's Gen4 she named Touroouse. I have no idea why.
My first car I bought was a 86' escort with a busted windshield and no side mirrors. Me and a friend bought it for the purpose of putting it into a demo derby. Once we got it to my moms house we wanted to start it up and in our infanite wisdom decided against going and getting gas at the station but use the fuel that was in the shield, which turned out to be already mixed for the lawn mower. When we started it up there was a lot of black smoke and it smelled like a gas powdered weed wacker. So from that day forward it was named the "Weed Wacker" for some reason it never actually made it to a derby and ended up in the junk yard. Just thought I'd share that interesting story with everyone.
As for my Taurus my dad called her "Baby", how creative he can be, "Black Stallion" is what me and my brother have been calling her. Now that she's mine I have stuck with "Black Stallion" since I haven't had any creative flashes.
