Is Mustang GT caliper upgrade possible at home? I am a complete neophyte when it comes to anything brakes. I haven't ever even bled the brakes before. Are there good instructions somewhere? Perhaps I should look on Mustang GT forums?

Yes it can be done at home just get the calipers. I would highly suggest the 11.6 upgrade over the GT calipers if you have 16" rims as it provides better braking and you wont have to bleed your brakes.

It would be just like swapping calipers on the Taurus.

You might want to pick up a Chiltons Manual or get the instructions online from AutoZone.

It's not too bad really. You just need calipers, brackets, pads.
They are pretty much plug and play.

Just be sure that the copper crush washers are seated properly, and that you are not leaking any brake fluid.
