My 02 Taurus according to vin is a flex engine. The previous owner replaced the motor with a eBay one. Is there a way to tell a difference to make sure the new engine is a flex fuel by some markings on the engine?
I already know the flex vin code in already know what vehicles Ford put the flex fuel engine in. Therefore Google is completely useless. If you would have read my post you would have seen the previous owner replaced the engine and I wanted to know if I can tell the difference by certain stuff on the motor

has anyone done this? i have a 1994 tempo 5 speed that i would like to swap into a 01 taurus. the bellhousing matches up. i figure ill need the flywheel from a ranger 3.0 but i dont know what to do about a clutch pedal/hydraulic clutch. any ideas anyone?
TL,DR I had to pull the connector, and the male pin (trans) broke off and is now lodged in the female (engine bay)
Is there a temp fix? Do I need that? And how can I get inside it? I have plenty experience de/pinning ford connectors, but I've never opened a trans.
