AutoTap is good. A bit expensive. I have the serial port version that is being used through a usb adapter. Some times I have connection issues that AutoTap customer service has not been helpful with.

If you are just looking for a code scanner look at something a lot cheaper.

I went to http://www.obd-2.com and got the TRICAN option for $240. Comes with free upgrades too, which you'll have to pay for if you get the Auto Tap.

I just got it loaded and working on my laptop last weekend, but have played with it enough to know that it does everything I need. I have my '96 Taurus, and there's the wife's '01 Montana. Works on both.

Support is good from Mr. Peper, too. This is the software I recommend.
