I just noticed this weekend that the black plastic trim surrounding the rear side windows on my 1995 Sable wagon have begun to deteriorate, much like the window trim on the side windows of the Fox body Mustangs did.
Is there any cure for this? The trim is rough enough to shred the sponge I used to wash the car this weekend...

I dunno, try bleach? I remember reading an article in a Mustang magazine about that and it seems to really common, but I can't remember how they got rid of it.

Bleach on the seal? Mine started to do the same thing, but I used a 1200 grit sand paper and took away the "rough" look. I just occasionally apply some Armor to it on a wipe and it looks normal.
