Here are some daytime pics of my new 1998 Taurus with my 2001 Taurus.

The 1998 now has gen 4 rims, gen 4 brakes with rear disc, and gen 4 exterior mirrors.

View of gen 4 with gen 3 wheels and gen 3 mirrors.

No I am not just swapping everything, other wise it would be a gen 4
The brakes are over an inch difference.

I was going to swap the interior but scrapped that idea. The seats fit but don't work in the gen 3.

So are you keeping the 2001? I really like the way the Gen 3 looks with the swaps, nice work! Sounds like you've got some serious stopping power in that now, too.

No they are not puddle lamps.

The connectors are the same for the puddle lamps though. So it may work. You would just need to add the pins to the connection.

Thanks for the nice comments.

It's been a world of difference from the stock gen 3 15" wheels. Everything about it is better. The ride quality is smooth, it handles great and it stops DAMN good. But I think thats the combo of 4-wheel disc, ABS, and the bigger tires.

That looks really, really good. I always liked the 4G wheels on the 3G, the round spokes really compliment the styling.

You've had what now, a 3G SE, 3G SHO, 2G sedan, your current 3G and 4G SE's... what am I missing?

Kyle is truly a Taurus man for life. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I've had:

1992 Taurus L, 1997 Taurus SHO, 1998 Taurus SE (Current.) 1999 Taurus SE Sport, 2000 Taurus SEL, 2001 Taurus SE (Current.)

I love the Taurus. After I part with the 2001 I plan on getting another. Definitly want another one eventually like my 2000 SEL. Except black. Not another white car!

I've had 6 WHITE cars in total. We had a white Lincoln Town Car, and my mom had a new 2003 white Eddie Bauer Expedition. The 98, 99, 00, 01 were all white, too. NO MORE WHITE CARS! Ahh! Lol. White is pretty though. White and black are my two favorite colors for cars. I like silver also.

a lot of my later cars have been metallic.
silver plymouth, gold taurus, and now silver buick.

It does seem tho that white paint lasts the longest. I think I have yet to see a whiet car with rotting paint.
No expert, just an observation
