Umm, probably a stupid question but...
What are you guys doing? (yes i see that youre taking it apart
) but what is the ultimate goal here?

Oh yeah, i like the coffee can used as a parts bin... much better then my "i put it on the ground near that rock over there" way of doing it.

I'm not one of the people doing this, so don't quote me.. hehe.. But I'd say that they're going to put on an SVT top end...

OMG I SOOO wish I was there to help. That looks like so much fun! So our ultimate goal is to put the SVT heads on the 3.0 block?

I wanted to go to Dan but i really did not feel like pulling to all nighters for driving there and back. I was originally planning on going.

He is doing SVT heads and big bore butterflys in the intake.

so he is going to higher compression heads and SVT cams which open earlier, close later and stay open longer.

This thing should gain significantly more HP just from doing this let alone when he gets the computer tuned for it.

Its been done. A bunch of the SVT Contour guys have done it, as well as a few of the cougar types. WATCH YOUR COMPRESSION RATIO! The SVT Contour combustion chambers are smaller. Personally, I want to go PnP on the whole top end and try just the SVT or a custom set of cams. The 3.0 heads will flow better then the 2.5's will. Something to look into once me and my buddies get our financial backing togather and get our shop opened.

Now all you need to figure out is how to get the stick in there. Great job, way to go where nobody has yet! Keep 'em coming!

Yep, we're swapping 2.5 SVT heads and cams onto Brad's SHO Killer.

Dylan is getting the big bore butterflies tonight, that should be interesting!

As far as Brad's heads, he's put a lot of research into this. These heads should flow close to the 3.0, due to the fact that he swapped the larger 3.0 exhaust valves into the SVT heads. The SVT intakes are slightly smaller, but IMO that will add to low end torque. Plus, the intake runners on the heads are extrude honed. Nice stuff, but now I need to buy a Tec.
