I've seen the how-to on removing the entire dash, but is there a simpler way to just remove the dash pad itself? I'm about to two-tone this mother, and I WILL NOT spray it in the car, and would rather not have to remove the whole dang dash.

Thanks!

I doubt it. On mine at least, the pad's fastened onto the metal dash frame from behind with screws mostly hidden behind the wiring loom and HVAC ductwork. With what you probably will have to do just to FIND the screws, removing the dash is easier in the long run.

Gota take the whole dashboard out of the car with the ventilation and wiring attached. Then you can remove the vents. Then unscrew the cross dash brace and the "pad" is free. No other way to do it, sorry.
