I was on my way to pick up a friend and I caught a light with a white, mid nineties jetta, with a loud and shiny muffler. I was lookin over to see if he'd make eye contact and try to race, but he was talking to his g/f. I figured he wasn't game, and went on with life. But when the light changed I notice he was pacing me, then with no warning he hits in first, of course after I already shifted into second. So I downshift and start making up ground, and pull ahead by 50-60mph. Then at the next light, he says "Wow, that's pretty fast for a 4 cylinder, what is it?" I told him it was a taurus and it had a v6, then I asked him if he wanted to go from a dig. I thought I saw him nod like he was game, but when the light changed I couldn't tell if he was racing or not. I just screeched out of the hole and went on my way.
Then on the way home with my friend riding shot gun I saw a black mid nineties thunderbird driving kind of fast. It looked like a stock 3.8 v6, so I figured what the hell. So I roll up next to him at about 55 or 60mph, and kind of rev my car. He looks over with a grin and it sounds like he pulled the gear shift into a lower gear and was pacing me, so I nod and take off. I admit I got a small head start but I still walked this guy pretty bad. So I slow down and pace him again. Now we're looking at each other waiting for somebody to make the first move, so I start pointing ahead, and he takes off. This time I made sure he got the head start just to be fair. Even with the head start I gave him I still pulled a couple car lengths on him.
I know these aren't great kills, but they're still fun. Anybody else have some recent kill stories?
