hey guys and gals, when I have my heat on my cooling fan seems to go on and off alot, and when it comes on it's a very loud clicking noise, what could this be? (01 vulcan)..

could just be the relay for the fan they tend to click.

On most cars with electric fans, the fan will cycle on when the AC compressor kicks in. When using the heat or defrost on the Taurus, the compressor cycles to dehumidify the air, hence the fan coming on. The clicking may be the AC compressor.

it's rather loud though, is there anything I can check or do about it? is it something that I should be very concerned about?
