I just switched my car (96 Taurus Vulcan) from the factory wiring/setup to an aftermarket kit I picked up from the part store for about $30. I found the wire on the fan that needed (+) battery supply to it and installed the kit. It works great and keeps my car much cooler now! I did a write up on it about a month ago or so if you want to check it out.
