I need a new Cooling Fan Drop Resistor but the part is obsolete, can't get it at Ford or AutoZone. ANybody out there have one to sell or know where I might go to buy o ne?:(

Junk yard or... just forget about it, connect the wires that go to terminals toghether(fans will run high speed).

Connect which terminals?

This means that the fan will be on all the time, doesn't it? Which means, I suppose, that the motor will burn out faster.

No, the fan is controlled by two relays - one for low speed one for high speed (mainly when A/C is on). If you bypass the resistor both speed will be "high" but the fan will still be controlled on-off by relays (like before).
But check first the connector - mine was corroded and needed just some cleaner...

Drop Resistor

Many thanks for your help. The pix are good. I see the connector in the second picture: It has the two red wires coming out of it. Yes?

And I see the two terminals in the close-up of the inside of the connector.

Do you cross those two terminals? Or cut the red wires and cross them? Or...?
