Which direction does the control arm bolt go when reinstalling the front control arm ....or which direction should the tighting screw be left or right side

Here I have the bolt inserted from the back of the car to the front (this is of course the left side of the vehicle):

I always assumed it makes no difference, it is just that one way is easier than the other. And that is because there is of course almost no play of the bolt in the bushing so it is hard to get in if the strut is in place (which tends to push the control arm down and outward). That can be solved by putting the jack of the car underneath the whole in the control arm perpendicular to the car so it can wiggle a bit in and out. By lifting the control arm a bit you can push in the strut with one hand and install the bolt with the other.
