Hello. I have a 2013 Ford Taurus V6 with 78000 miles. Im hearing a clunking noise when taking off and when braking sometimes. When pushing vehicle back and forth, pushing on wheels back and forth, i hear the clunking noise at bottom of engine area. I believe it may be the torque rod mount. This mount was recently replaced. Could the noise be the mount isnt properly torqued? Or could it me a bad torque rod that supposed to be new? How do you test a torque rod? What is the torque spec for the rod? The transmission mount and front engine mount have been replaced as well. Or could the clunking be bad control arm bushings? Vehicle has some play in steering but the alignment is good. Sway bar links, inner and outer tie rods have been replaced also. Appreciate any assistance, thoughts or suggestions....

I've never messed with one, but it looks like they should be torqued a minimum of 175 ft/lbs. Get under there with a pry bar and carefully pry at it a little to check for slop.
