Sounds like a bad CV axle but two shops dismiss that. Last shop says the noise is inside transmission. I did have passenger side axle replaced as that was bad. Drivers side is fine. Noise is only there when accelerating from a stop and at braking. I have had some minor issues with harsh shifts when in stop and go traffic and a stumble when climbing hills. What would cause that? Is the differential in the tranny bad?

Fluid level is good and I have had the fluid changed every 30K. In fact it is due now.

To me it sounds like movement of some type under torque. Suspension checks out fine as does the tranny and engine mounts.
