Lets see, 92 sable, I have the clock in the upper dash and not in the factory radio. Day time is fine but there is no light to illuminate it at night time, is there suppossed to be? If so where do I start looking to fix it...its a real pain at night times.

The clock mounted on a panel. The panel itself pops out. Once the panel is out just replace the light bulb in the clock assembly.

Hmnmm, which panel pops right off? I tried prying the little black panel the clock is mounted to and thats a no go????

On my sable the panel is roughly 4 or 5 inches high by 6 or 7 inches long. The clock is mounted on rear of that panel. Going by memory, pry the on the middle part of the panel (left and right sides) carefully with a screw driver as that is where the clips located. The panel should pop out. Good luck.
