Wednesday of this week I'll be having my new muffler installed, and I've been searching all over for two Oval Chrome Tips that will fit over 2.25" pipe. all I found at Autozone were oval tips that are 2 1/8", I was just wondering if anyone here knows of any place online that I can get some that will be a direct fit. I've been looking online but I'm not having any luck.

If I can't find any that will fit do you think if I welded on a small adapter and then welded on the tips if that would work well.

Quick word of advice: Try to find something that has the dual wall construction, as the single walled tips rust very quickly.

im not sure what there called but they have a tool that is made to expand muffler tubing. my dad has a pair of them and 3/8 ths is not that much it would solve ur problem easily. it fits inside and there is a bolt in the center ur turn it and ti expands pushing on the sides of the tubing making ti bigger i would ask a mechanic or a muffler shop they may know what it is called. ill ask my dad and get back to u idk if its worth to buy them for one time use. check ebay or sell them if u do buy them. good luck

Thanks for the replies, The tips from Autozone they just seem to fit, the Tail Pipe just needs be stretched just a little and the tips can be slipped on and welded. I was thinking maybe by heating up the tail pipe with a torch and sliding the tips on by tapping it with a block of wood and a mallet, that might work.

What kind of tips do you want? Magnaflow has a whole bunch of different kinds of tips to choose from. If you want to buy some eamil me and tell me waht kind you want and I'll order them for you and have them drop shipped to your house.

are you a magnaflow dealer? if so could i maybe get you to order some mufflers and tips for me? i have been looking for magnaflows for quite some time, but unfortunatly cant find any shops that sell them in my area.

You can't expand chrome pipe, it will just crack, heating might work but your better off gettting an extention to make it fit/or get a different muffler with a smaller end pipe, but i might be able to get you a chrome dual tip tail pipe if your interested it is 2 1/4 (2.25). Let me know!!

PS welding chrome to an aluminized muffler might not hold as well as you might think. Just a thought
