I figured that I should get thisd thread started again. Anyway I am still looking for imput on this system or options to build a complete system for less than $150 including shipping. (also including a box, wiring, an amp, and atleast 1 10" sub). I have already decided I want a 10" and you will not change my mind on that so I only want imput on a 10" system consitiong of 1 or 2 subs. Thanks for your imput.
Heres what I was looking at. please give imput on this.
what about this system? Imput? I am looking for something really cheap yet decent enough to add a little more base than my 6x8's do.
1st combo from walmart
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp...3A96481%3A38981
about $134 shipped

2nd combo from best buy
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...duct&cmp=%20%20
comes with 2 free extra subs
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...05&type=product
$160

if I got the one from best buy how much could I sell the 2 extra subs for?
Thanks for your imput. Just looking for something that will work well with my lower budget system which I have listed out below.

my curent system
my 6x8
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...goryId=cat03078
6 1/2 rounds
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...duct&cmp=%20%20
my deck
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...duct&cmp=%20%20
Thanks for your help and sugestions
P.S. think there will be any big sales before christmas or any huge after christmas sales to find a cheap system at. Thanks again for your imput.
the links should be fixed now

I guess it depends on what you want. If you want to fill the trunk with speakers go for two. I have a 12" in a 1 cu ft box and I am happy.

Well...this is really one of those things that is up to you, but personally between those 2 choices, I would go with the 2nd combo.

I posted what I thought would be the best on the other forum, and what I would do if in that situation, I'll copy it over...

Profile Clarus 75x2 amplifier - $67.50
Puts out 225 watts RMS bridged. Also blingin'.
http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/1012

Sony XS-L101P5 10" woofer - $35.00
Handles up to 300 watts RMS.
http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/1268

So that puts you at a grand total of $102.50 + shipping, for the amp and the sub. And remember guys, he said cheap system, that's what I'm going for.

Edit - You could also go with the Profile California 600msx mono amp (410x1 @ 2 ohm, 300x1 @ 4 ohm) so you'd always have the option of adding a second sub without getting another amp. The 600msx is $79.00 which is a dang good deal for a 400w mono amp.

about as low as I will go is pioneer stuff all around...speakers/subs/amps/head
anything less will either go bad faster or blow out easier and a lot of the time just not sound as good. I'd just get a regular pair of 2-way pioneer speakers and a simple 10" pioneer sub and then (ohkay this strays but since walmart here) jensen like amp possibly. I know my local walmart sells all that and they have a kit that comes with hu/speakers for $120 and then can get the subs/amp/box for like $80 and then a wiring kit for it all for $20...walmart has it all and makes for a ncie beginning system

I got my amp and sub. Now I have a new problem. the 10" wal-mart box does not fit my 10" sub. Where else can I find a cheap box for a single 10". about $30 or less including any shipping.

Check these out...there are a few of them there for $29.95.

And here's one more for $25.99.

Those are about as cheap as you can get unless you build your own of course.

I built my cheap system and I must say it kicks a** for the price. Costed about $140 total. this is for
a 375 watt max 10" (125 RMS)
a 340 peak amp (170 RMS for 2 channels bridged)
A nice solid well sealed R/T box
an 8 gauge wiring kit
and last but not least some 12 gauge speaker wire to run from amp to box and to wire the box.
It sounds increadible.

Did you buy it at Walmart? If so, you're going to blow that sub, but you can just take it back and ask for a replacement it's not like they'll have a clue anyway.

NO. tried wal-mart box but the sub would not fit. Wal-mart didn't even make the hole wide enough. I'm glad I did not get one of those pos. I went to radio shack and talked them down to $40 on a really nice 10" box.

No I mean 170w RMS to a sub rated at 125 is going to nuke it eventually. Don't worry though because if you return it to Wal-Mart they will have no idea how much power went to it.

I bought nothing from walmart but the wireing kit.
box and speaker wire radio shack
sub and amp best buy

I figure better to over power than underpower.

buy the infinity I have for sale and take that one back to walmart, plus you get a crappy jenson amp for free.
No thanks. Its all installed and I love they system I got. Plus I want to keep the one I want. Sounds great and its all brand new!!
Once again I ended up with nothing from rip-off central (wal-mart) but the wiring kit.

Ok here it is
The Box

The Sub

The Amp
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...goryId=cat03085
The Wireing Kit
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp...%3A3947%3A96490

Just to clarify, I am a poor bastered and was looking to build a cheap system. I have to say this system sounds damb good and put outs an incredible amount of base. I didn't expect it to be this good for the price. I know its not neccesarly name brand but I could build it cheaper that way. Even when I run it at 1/4 power it produces enough thump for a back massage. It also has a very crisp, clean sound and is able to distiguis notes extremely well.

Just for s***s while I'm at it this is the other half of my system I previously installed in my car.
The Deck

My 6 1/2 rounds

My 6x8's
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...goryId=cat03078
That sums up my audio. Nice balance of bass and treble.
Now go ahead and rip it apart if you want but keep in mind I wanted a decent sound for an extreamly cheap price.

I'm not going to rip it apart...if you think it sounds good, if you are happy with it...awesome. I'm glad you didn't just buy the cheapest crap you could get, and I think you ended up learning a little bit about it all too....
