I've had my taurus for over a year now, has a cd changer in the trunk, no magazine, I asked the previous owner if he still had it, along with the wheel lock key, he was a d!ck and denied ever selling me the car.

So anyway, it still sounds like it works, the CD changer part # is F8DF-18C849-AA , can someone help in finding a compatible magazine?

The actual part number is F5TZ-18C833-A but the part number on the mag itself will be F87F-18C833-AA

From my understanding F87F is the newest / most current which supercedes the old F8DF-18C833-AA number which no longer exists. I could be wrong tho. I can tell you 100% which one it is, if you want to give me the las 8 digets of your vin #.

Edit: I pluged 1997 Ford Taurus in FMC Catalog and both come up except the F8DF is "OBSOLETE" (No longer avalible.) BUT as far as a junk yeard goes they might have them. Here is a few differwent modles that also use that same magazine:

1996/1999 ; ME (Sable), 1996/1999 ; E (Taurus), 1996/ ; W (Escort), 1996/1999 ; MM (Tracer) and 2001/2004 ; F-Series, (Ford 150 Series)

Yes, F6 and F8 changer mags are interchangeable. Used them in person w.o issue in the yellow square button changers.

well as long as F8DF-18C833-AA fits (that's what I'm buying), I'm happy
