I bought a new Neochanger for my '99 taurus. It came with the RCU hookup cable, but only 2 wires (yellow and black) for power hookup. It says to run black to ground and yellow to 12v source. I noticed another connector that is not being used. It is 3 prong w/ 3 wires (blue, yellow w/ red, and black w/ red). Can I use this for the power? If so, which wire is the hot one? Thanks.

The pictures helped me understand a little better. I am still confused though. Does the yellow (power) wire go to the yellow and red on the harness? Where does the black (ground) go?
I realize I could ground it to the frame in the back, but it looks as if you have it wired into the harness.

Thanks for the help.

On the harness:

Red/Yellow Stripe = 12VDC always on
Black/Pink Stripe = 12VDC switched
Blue = For a cell phone option. If you ground the blue wire, it mutes the system.

I tapped in to the green & black for ground just because I had the splice in connectors handy.
