Hi guys, I'm new to the Taurus world. I have a 93 Taurus with bad front and rear bumbers. The question is, Is it a bumper cover or a full on bumper? The center seems hard like steel, but the sides (ends) flex like plastic. Same with rear. I found a really good front and rear at the junkyard but I was wondering because of price. Bumpers cost differant than Bumper covers. And how do I go about changing them? Is it a big deal?

The bumper cover is just that. It's the plastic "skin" that goes over the actual bumper. The bumper is metal or strong plastic and it only protects from a front hit so you won't get any side protection. If the inside piece (the actual bumper) isn't broken, then just get the cover. I think it's only a few bolts that hold them on, but I've never taken them off so I'm not totally sure.
