Hello,
I installed a bulldog key-less entry system in my
2005 Ford Taurus, since my car was built without
the key-less entry system.

The bulldog system works for a while, then the
unlock feature quits working. Once I open and close
the door, the unlock feature WILL WORK. However,
if I lock the car and let it sit for a few minutes, the
unlock won't work. I have run tests, including running
wire directly from the + and ground wires of the unit
all the way to the battery to assure I have a reliable
connection, however the same problem results.

Anyone have an idea of what is wrong?

Technical Support replied

After talking to tech. support they theorized that the GEM module is
going to "sleep". Some suggestions were made by them as to how to
wake up the system. However, I didn't want to attached any more wires
and I determined a type of work around to the problem. I found that if
I didn't use the power lock button on the door, the Bulldog system would
continue to work. This isn't an ideal solution, but I didn't want to work on
it any more.
