I was wondering if anyone here has or has used the brake speed bleeders that are featured in the summitt racing catalog.

How do they perform? What size thread should I get for my gen 4?

I have the ones from Summit in my 95 GL. They work great! I think the size was 10mm x 1.0 inches, but I'm not 100% sure. I used the application guide on Summit's website. I tried to use the "Help!" brand at AutoZone on my 97 SHO, but they didn't fit (wrong thread pattern.) Anywho, I'll be ordering some more with my next Summit order... the Russell brand they sell have a little boot/dust-cover for the nipple, whereas the Help! brand didn't.

And, BTW, you don't need to jack the car up OR take off the wheels to get to the bleeders. Maybe the first time, when you are removing the old bleeders, which are likely frozen solid--but after that, you can just slide under there, crack the valve open, and bleed 4 pedal strokes or so in between filling the master cylinder.

So how would I go about finding what size thread the bleeders are?

It seems on summitts website that there are only a few sizes....

Well, good news. I just called summitt and they do make them for my 2000 gen 4 bull. I ordered a pair and they should be here friday.
