First time poster: I wanted to take the rear drum off my '98 Taurus SE and tightened the adjuster instead of loosening it. Now I can't seem to be able to locate the lever that locks the adjuster and back it off. Any advice or referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Its on the back of the drum. IIRC, its near the bottom half of the drum. Theres a little rubber cover (it may not be there) that covers the hole where the adjuster is. Since drum brakes are tricky and you seem to be a do it yourselfer, you may want to pickup a repair manual. They are about $15 at autozone, and worth their weight in gold.
