now that ive found a good company to work for doing what I enjoy (electrical engineering) I decided it was a good time to take the plunge into financing a car

I had a 94 Ranger STX with a 4.0. I have a 40mile drive to work everyday and gas was destroying me.
I satrted making a budget for myself and realized i was spending over $700/Mo on gas!

I went into a local ford dealer just to look around and I saw this good lookin sandstone colored altima.

I went over to it and spotted the dual exhaust first off along with it being a SE model
then I looked inside and saw it was a manual! I went inside to grab a saleslady
after I test drove it I knew I wanted that car.

I negociated with the woman for 2 days and got it for the price I wanted.

Heres some basics on it.

2002 Altima SE 47,760mi
VQ35DE => 240HP / 246 TQ
5spd
6 spoke 17" wheels
brown/ cream interior
leather
Bose 8 speaker audio with 6disc changer
auto climate
hid's

ill have pictures up soon

lmk what you think

You should come down to my neck of the woods in the spring. We could go to my sucky local dragstrip and have a little fun. Go for that cool springtime mountain road drive.

I'll even show you what I've been doing to my XR4Ti!

i definitely would be up for that.
hopefully by spring ill have some stuff done to my car

i really want to change the exhaust
my cars friggin silent and i HATE IT

i wanna hear that pretty VQ rev

i found out the exhaust is extremely restrictive on these cars. the smallest diameter spot in the exhaust it 1.5"! WTF!! lol

heres some pics I took with my cell phone (htc touch)
i'll have wayyy better pics up once its decent outside

that should hold youse over for a lil ... PIC JUNKIES

in most reviews the manual trans test cars were running

under 6sec 0-60 MPH

low 14sec 1/4 Mi runs

i havent timed anything or gone to the track but i can attest to how friggin fast these cars are.
I love how the car is extremely easy to drive calmly in and when u want a lil extra shwoop just push on that go pedal a lil and u got it

and even though im not the most gentle i can drive somewhat doscile lol
ive seen ~26MPG highway and 24 city

and my normal MPG is about 22 mostly city/backroad driving with some highway

Warning.... I haven't done anything to it. I'm slowly collecting parts for a T5 swap and I'm getting good instrumentation in.

If you still have my cell phone you can contact me that way or you can message me on here and make arrangements for it to go down.

I always liked those Altimas and especially the Maximas. Good buy man.

Dad's got an '04, and I drove it while the Bull was in the shop. They're pretty nice, I loved driving it.

Love the Altimas, coupe and 4-door, but the new Maximas are amazing I think.

Nope, it's automatic. It's not completely basic, there's some upgrades, but not a ton. Couldn't tell you exactly what though.

Maxima :D :

my mother has an 06 with the 2.5

Its alright but her interior is different and I hate it, the steering wheel is too small and the seats are rock hard. but then again she has cloth and not leather plus her steering wheel is not the same as yours

looks like you got a better package all around ;)

yeah, 2002 was the first year of the new body style and the 3.5 only came in the SE model

the SE's are basically loaded
i only need heated seats to have every feature lol

i think the 2.5 SL came with leather and the bigger leather wrapped wheel
